I need your help.
Here’s my situation.
I wrote a book, self-published it, and put it out into the world to offer guidance to those who might be looking to make a change in their lives.
I used MY OWN STORY of finding my Nxt, to make the concepts fun and relatable to everyone.
In less than a month, two unauthorized AI-generated books have surfaced on Amazon that have used my content and my name and misrepresented what my book is about.
Some friends have suggested that it’s OK for me to ask for help from all of you - my people - (which is hard for me to do) to combat the egregious act by those wielding AI to steal the content of my book, use my name to their benefit, and represent themselves as providing supportive materials to my book when they are doing no such thing. All without my permission and stomping on my copyrights.
So I’m taking a deep breath and asking for your help.
First, I have to tell you the names of the two AI books (even though I don’t want to give them attention)…because maybe together we can squash them like bugs.
The two books erroneously using my material and name are on Amazon and are called:
A. Workbook for Finding Your Nxt, When You’re Ready For the Life You Really Want, a Practice Guide for Cindy Carrillo’s book
and
B. Summary of Finding your Nxt, A Novel, a Guide to Cindy Carrillo’s book
Another deep breath.
What can you possibly do to help?
1. Give each of these horrible books (they actually are horrible btw) a one-star review and state how you know it’s AI etc and help destroy them before anyone gets sucked in.
2. Share this story to your networks so the word spreads far and wide about what’s happening with AI in literature and the arts.
3. Read and review the actual book Finding Your Nxt, When You’re Ready For The Life You Really Want, by me, to help me push back against this shit.
4. Share your ideas here for others to see and act - cause I’m sure you have better ways to fight this!
